Cyclocross racing in the Hutt Valley, Wellington, New Zealand

Why race Hüttcross?

Grades to suit all abilities

We have grades for everyone, ranging from a 10 minute kids’ race, to A grade, with approximately 60 minutes of s̶u̶f̶f̶e̶r̶i̶n̶g̶  joy.

Ride any bike you like

We allow any bike in C and B grade (A grade is CX bikes only). You will probably want knobbly tyres to deal with the Hutt mud, though.

Great family atmosphere

We’re proud of the relaxed, fun vibe that the cyclocross community brings to each event. Bring your whānau for a great day out.

New to cyclocross?

Cyclocross is heaps of fun, and we’re sure that once you’ve tried it, you’ll be addicted! View our guide for newbies about how to ride cyclocross and what to expect on the day.

Wheelworks is THE place to get your custom-built wheels. Their hoops are light, stiff, and strong. The team are so confident in the quality, that all of their carbon wheels come with a lifetime warranty. Wheelworks is again offering a fantastic spot prize of a hand-built wheelset for one lucky Hüttcross participant!

Custom frame painting by Brendon Sharratt. The lucky winner of the custom CX frame will also win a free custom paint by Velo.Creations!
Brendon is one of the top cyclocross riders in NZ, and dominated our A grade for many years. Despite moving further north to Wanganui, he still manages to make it down for a couple of Hüttcross races each year.
